Monopoly Rick & Morty Board Game | Collectible Monopoly Game Based On Adult Swim Series Rick & Morty | Officially Licensed Rick & Morty Board Game

4.8 · 2,384 reviews

Monopoly Rick and Morty Board Game reskins the classic property-trading game entirely around Adult Swim's Rick and Morty, with a custom Multiverse board and six collectible metal tokens pulled straight from the show. It's an officially licensed collectible built for fans of the series first and a board game second: Get Schwifty! and Interdimensional Cable TV cards stand in for Chance and Community Chest, custom Flurbo money replaces the usual bills, and Flooble Cranks and Gooble Boxes take the place of houses and hotels. Because the source material is an adult animated series, USAopoly rates this edition for ages 17 and up, which makes it a strong gift pick for the Rick and Morty fan in your life rather than a family game night box for young kids.

About Monopoly Rick & Morty Board Game | Collectible Monopoly Game Based On Adult Swim Series Rick & Morty | Officially Licensed Rick & Morty Board Game

This is Monopoly filtered entirely through Rick and Morty's universe, and USAopoly leaned all the way in rather than doing a light reskin. The board swaps Boardwalk and Park Place for Multiverse locations like the Cromulon Dimension and Planet Squanch, the tokens are die-cast metal pieces of show iconography rather than the usual plastic pawns, and even the money and Chance and Community Chest decks get renamed and redrawn around the show's running jokes.

It's worth being direct about the audience here: Rick and Morty is an adult animated series on Adult Swim, and USAopoly lists this edition for ages 17 and up on the actual product listing, not as boilerplate small-parts language but as the stated intended age range. That tracks with the source material, which leans on dark, crude, and sci-fi-absurdist humor that isn't written for kids. Treat this as a gift for a teen or adult fan of the show, not as a family board game night pick for younger children the way a standard Monopoly edition might be.

Once you're at the table, it plays like Monopoly always has: buy, trade, and bankrupt your way around the board over a 60-plus minute session with 2 to 6 players. The theming is where this edition earns its keep. Reviewers consistently call out the token quality and how thoroughly the show's references made it into every corner of the game, and more than a few buyers say they've bought a second copy just to keep sealed as a display piece.

The Honest Take

What We Like and What We Don't

What we like

  • Deep, consistent theming: locations, tokens, currency, and card decks are all rebuilt around the show rather than just a sticker-slapped board
  • Collectible-grade metal tokens that reviewers describe as sturdy and well-weighted, not flimsy pack-in pieces
  • Strong review base for a licensed spinoff, with the large majority of ratings at five stars
  • Doubles as a display collectible for fans who want an unopened copy alongside other Rick and Morty merchandise
  • Officially licensed by USAopoly, part of a larger line of Rick and Morty tabletop games

What holds it back

  • A minority of buyers reported cosmetic shipping damage or a missing token on arrival, requiring a follow-up with customer service
  • Underneath the theming it's still standard Monopoly mechanics, so if you already own several licensed Monopoly editions, the gameplay itself won't feel new
  • Strictly a 17+ product built for people who already know and enjoy the show's adult humor, not a general-audience family game

Is This For You?

Who Should (and Shouldn't) Buy This

Get it if…

Get it if you're shopping for a teen or adult who already watches and loves Rick and Morty, wants a collectible-grade version of a game they already know how to play, or is building out a shelf of licensed Rick and Morty tabletop games.

Skip it if…

Skip it if you're looking for a family board game for younger kids, if the recipient has never seen the show and won't get the humor behind the reskinned board and cards, or if you already own a different Monopoly edition and mainly want new gameplay rather than new theming.

The verdict

If you're buying for a Rick and Morty fan who also likes game night, this is an easy recommendation: the theming is thorough, the tokens feel like genuine collectibles, and the rating history backs up that it holds together in actual play. Just buy it for the right person. This is a 17+ licensed product built around an adult animated show, not a kids' Monopoly edition, so it's best framed as a gift for a teen or adult fan rather than something for younger children at the table.

This brings back memories of when I was a kid playing Monopoly with the family at the dinner table. Combining elements of Rick and Morty to the Monopoly game helps to elevate it to new heights for fans of the Monopoly Board Game. There is a joy trying to buy and own well known locations in the Rick and Morty universe from the Citadel of Ricks to the Miniverse.

The board, money and tokens look awesome! I usually hate playing Monopoly but the take on this one was done well and my family had a really good time playing it this weekend. The only down side was that it's missing Snuffle's helmet. After contacting customer service they did get me the missing part quickly.

We got one to never open and put in our Rick and Morty collectibles collection. We opened the other and what stands out the most is the awesome board. The cards and everything are really clean and well done. If you are a Rick and Morty fan then this is exactly what you want provided you have 3+ people to play with.
